Event Details
This hands-on tools training session will train participants on how to use the 3D printer safely and effectively, running through using the 3D model compiler, printing parts, changing materials in and out of the material loading bays, and properly disposing of all materials after the print.
This class also provides training on Free Designing Software: BLENDER
Please download and install BLENDER in your laptops before the workshop. Here is the download link: https://www.blender.org/download/
Things you’ll learn:
• How does a 3D Printer work
• Various methods of 3D printing. (SLS, SLA, FDM)
• Setting up the machine
• Insight on the software and websites used to make 3D models
• Experience making your designs ready for the printer
Designing a Basic Fidget Spinner and other basic models on BLENDER.
Materials:
All materials required for the tool training will be provided to the participants. It will be great if you can bring a Laptop with you with BLENDER pre-installed (Windows or Mac Don’t Matter)
Limits: 12 People Only
Online Portal: MakersBox maintains a password only Online Portal and participants will get access to this portal to see what was taught in the class, access to code and circuit diagrams as well as basic test related information.
Certificate: A Certificate of Attendance will be given at the end of the Workshop
