Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about our free Learning Nooks, the 4Cs, visiting, volunteering, partnering, and giving.

Do you charge any fees?

No. Our programs are completely free for children of all ages. We believe access to learning, creativity, and skill-building should not be limited by financial barriers.

Why does MakersBox Foundation exist? What is the need?

We started by asking a simple question: “What skills will a child need to succeed and find meaningful work 10 years from now?”

Traditional school and college education remain important, but they may not always be enough on their own to prepare children for a rapidly changing world. At MakersBox Foundation, we focus on developing the Critical 4Cs:

  • Creativity
  • Critical Thinking
  • Communication
  • Collaboration

Through exposure, hands-on learning, and inspiration, we help children build the mindset and skills needed for the future.

What is the core agenda of MakersBox Foundation?

Our core agenda is to enable children to become self-motivated, lifelong learners. We want every child to develop curiosity, confidence, and the ability to continuously learn, adapt, and create opportunities for themselves throughout life.

Who can join MakersBox Foundation?

Children of all ages are welcome to participate and engage with our learning experiences.

What is a Learning Nook?

A Learning Nook is a space created to help children explore, create, ask questions, learn together, and discover new possibilities beyond traditional classroom learning.

Is MakersBox Foundation a school or tuition center?

No. MakersBox Foundation is not a replacement for school. We complement traditional education by creating opportunities for children to develop future-ready skills, curiosity, confidence, and a habit of lifelong learning.

What do children do at MakersBox?

Children take part in experiences that encourage:

  • Problem solving
  • Creative thinking
  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Exploration and making
  • Learning by doing

The goal is not only knowledge, but helping children become independent learners.

Why do you focus on the 4Cs?

The world is changing rapidly. Along with academic knowledge, children increasingly benefit from skills that help them adapt, work with others, solve problems, and continue learning throughout life. The 4Cs help build those foundations.

How can parents support their child’s journey?

Parents can support by:

  • Encouraging curiosity and questions
  • Celebrating effort and experimentation
  • Giving children time to explore
  • Participating in their learning journey

Learning grows strongest when children feel supported at home and in the community.
